Tutankhamun's exquisite alabaster vessel is a remarkable artifact from ancient Egypt, created during his reign between 1332 and 1323 BC. This stunning piece was discovered by the British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922 during the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb (KV62) in the Valley of the Kings, located near Luxor.

The beautifully crafted alabaster boat, found among the treasures interred with the young pharaoh, was likely intended to accompany him on his journey to the afterlife. It is now housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, where it stands as a testament to the exceptional artistry of ancient Egyptian artisans.

The vessel features intricately carved ends that depict ibexes, both facing the same direction, with pierced ears—one still wearing an earring. The horns are made from real ibex horns, and the hull and base are adorned with complementary designs. Notably, the ibex on the bow retains its characteristic beard.

At the rear of the boat, a n**e dwarf figure, decorated with armbands, wristbands, and a wig, holds a pole, likely serving as the helmsman of the vessel.

The bow is graced by the presence of a seated female figure beneath a decorative canopy, adorned with golden earrings, an armlet, and a beaded bracelet. Her wig, carved from gray stone, and the stained ivory lotus she holds in her left hand, embody the luxuriousness of the artifact. The canopy, supported by four elegant columns, adds to the ceremonial grandeur of the piece.
