The Military Police Regimental Association of Puerto Rico celebrated the 84th Birthday of the Military Police Corps at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Sept. 24, 2025. This special event will commemorate 84 years of proud service, dedication, and tradition of the MP Corps. The U.S. Military Police (MP) Corps was officially established in 1941. However, its roots date back to the American Revolution with the creation of a Provost Marshal and the Marechaussee Corps to enforce discipline. After centuries of temporary units, the Corps gained permanent status to provide law and order, evolving as a detailed and organized combat support force with duties ranging from rear-area security and traffic control to prisoner-of-war management and criminal investigations.
