SALINAS, Puerto Rico - From 8–11 January, the 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion executed a series of rigorous training lanes, including weapons qualification, demonstrating the discipline and professionalism that define our formation.

This achievement was made possible not only by those on the firing line, but also by the Soldiers whose steadfast efforts behind the scenes ensured every lane ran with precision. These highlights honor the individuals whose efforts kept everything moving forward.

The 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion launched 2026 with remarkable energy and determination. From January 8th to 11th, at Camp Santiago in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Soldiers pushed through a series of demanding training lanes—including weapons qualification—with a level of commitment that set a powerful tone for the year ahead.

What made this effort truly stand out was the teamwork behind the scenes. Countless Soldiers stepped forward to ensure every aspect of the training operated with precision, allowing others to remain focused on mastering their weapons and meeting the standard. Their dedication—often unseen and unrecorded—was essential to the success of the mission.
