As a junior specialist in his platoon, Spc. Adriel Lamboy has displayed exceptional dedication to the mission, willingness to learn, and aptitude for leadership. He displayed these attributes during a three-week over-the-horizon (OTH) mission. Despite being a carpentry and masonry specialist (12W), he also assumed the role of a heavy equipment operator (12N) to accomplish the mission. His efforts were essential to moving over 3,600 cubic yards of dirt to fill and level a 120,000 square foot pad.
Over the past month while OTH, Lamboy excelled beyond his peers. He was selected to supervise a cutting team composed of NCOs and Soldiers to ensure a 150' guard tower stair case was constructed timely. He led them to cut more than 1,500 linear feet of wood in less than 24 hours. His efforts ensured the stair case was assembled without interruption.
Spc. Lamboy is an exceptional Soldier, and when the time comes, will be a phenomenal NCO.  For his demonstrated leadership and skills, he is recognized as the 471st’s Engineer
Company's Soldier of the Week
