The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship conquers Porto! 🇵🇹✨
We have launched an intensive and inspiring networking trip organized as part of the "Smart Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship – cooperation for the development of regional smart specializations" project.

The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship delegation, composed of employees of the Department of Regional Development and representatives of regional institutions and organizations selected through a recruitment process – including the Kielce Technology Park, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, the Old Polish Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Regional Development Agency Foundation in Starachowice – FARR Smartive.app, FANSULD Sp. zoo, Odyssey Club Hotel & SPA, the Center for Entrepreneurship Promotion, KGA ITcontol, Fitness Fighters, the Kielce University of Technology, and the Industrial Development Foundation – has safely arrived in Porto and has been operating at full capacity since the very first hours! 🚀

💪We've already held our first meeting at Invest Porto, during which we discussed how to effectively support entrepreneurship, attract investors, and build a modern innovation ecosystem.

It was a great opportunity to exchange experiences, learn about Portuguese best practices, and discuss cooperation between business, science, and government.

💡And this is just the beginning!
Ahead of us are more days full of study visits, inspiring meetings with institutions supporting the development of technology and innovation, and participation in the international networking event SIM Conference 2026.

A record turnout at today’s “Coffee with an Expert” meeting organised by the East Poland House in Brussels! ☕️🇪🇺

Held in a hybrid format, the event gathered more than 260 participants both on-site in Brussels and online, including representatives of regional marshal offices from across Poland.

The discussion focused on the future EU Multiannual Financial Framework and Cohesion Policy 2028–2034, with particular attention to border regions. Our guest speaker was Piotr Wolski from the European Commission’s DG REGIO.

Renata Janik Marszałek Województwa Świętokrzyskiego, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Poland, His Excellency Professor Anastase Shyaka, to discuss new directions of cooperation in the areas of education, economy, and innovation.

The talks were attended by, among others, First Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Fred Muvunyi, and Executive Assistant to the Ambassador, Nelson Mubiligi.

The regional side was also represented by Joanna Rudawska, Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Development, and representatives of the academic community, including Dr. Sylwia Konarska-Zimnicka, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, and Professor at the Jan Kochanowski University of Lublin.

🌎The meeting devoted to the role of international programs in financing environmental and climate projects in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship is over!

Over 50 representatives of local government units and non-governmental organizations participated in the event, confirming the growing interest in this area.

Key conclusions from the meeting:

🔹 International programs (including the LIFE Programme and Horizon Europe) are a significant complement to European Funds for the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and loans, including the Świętokrzyskie Development Fund.
🔹 They enable the implementation of more complex, partnership-based, and innovative projects.
🔹 They support not only investments but also the development of competencies and knowledge transfer.

From the perspective of the voivodeship government, we clearly see their value – we are currently implementing five projects under Interreg Europe programs, confirming the practical importance of these instruments.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to:
✔️ learn about the national support system for the LIFE program
✔️ learn about regional experiences in implementing environmental projects
✔️ understand the mechanisms of the Horizon Europe program
✔️ obtain practical tips on applying for and building consortia.

Renata Janik Marszałek Województwa Świętokrzyskiego, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, met with a delegation from the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam🇻🇳 in Poland, initiating discussions on new opportunities for economic, investment, and scientific cooperation in the region.

➡️The delegation was led by H.E. Ha Hoang Hai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Poland. Also participating were Pham Hai Linh, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy, ​​Nguyen Huyen Trang, Third Secretary of the Embassy, ​​and Tran Trong Hung, President of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Poland, as well as Tomasz Janusz and Joanna Rudawska, Directors of the Department of Regional Development.

The discussions focused on opportunities to develop relations between the Świętokrzyskie region and Vietnamese partners, particularly in the areas of economy, investment, education, and institutional cooperation.

🎼 At the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic of Oskar Kolberg, a unique and ceremonial concert titled “Treasures of American Music” took place, organized to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event had a solemn character and symbolized Polish-American brotherhood and cultural cooperation.

Among the distinguished guests were: Renata Janik Marszałek Województwa Świętokrzyskiego, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship; Gretchen McKeever Cureton, U.S. Consulate General in Krakow; Andrzej Bętkowski, Chairman of the Regional Assembly; Anita Koniusz Członek Zarządu Województwa Świętokrzyskiego, members of the Regional Assembly: Małgorzata Krzywda and Henryk Milcarz; and Jacek Rogala, Director of the Philharmonic.

🎖️ Before the concert, a meeting was held between Marshal Renata Janik and Consul General Gretchen McKeever Cureton. During the meeting, the unique 1933 commemorative book “In Honor of the Fallen Aviators” was presented, recalling the history of American pilots who fought in defense of Poland — including volunteers of the 7th Fighter Squadron named after Tadeusz Kościuszko. Among the heroes mentioned was Brigadier General Merian Caldwell Cooper, a pilot of the Polish Armed Forces and recipient of the Virtuti Militari.

🎶 Performing on stage were: – The U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band (USAFE Band),
– The Representative Orchestra of the Polish Land Forces in Wrocław,
– Senior Airman Dana Bowers – vocals,
– Technical Sergeant Linda Casul – vocals,
– Lieutenant Colonel Rafael F. Toro-Quiñones – ensemble commander,
– Captain Michael P. Flynn – conductor.

The artists took the audience on a musical journey through the history of American culture. The program included works by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and George Gershwin. The performance was met with enthusiastic reception and a standing ovation.

🇵🇱🇺🇸 The concert was part of the international “Freedom 250” tour.

This remarkable event was not only a musical feast, but above all a tribute to shared history and the enduring friendship between Poland and the United States.

The first day of the Nordbygg 2026 trade fair in Sweden is underway! 🇸🇪🚀

It's been a very busy time – we've already had many valuable meetings and business talks. Our stand is generating a lot of interest, and the energy for action is enormous!

A pleasant highlight of today was the visit of the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, who visited our stand and spoke with representatives of the companies participating in the mission.

We still have three days ahead of us, full of networking, exchange of experiences, and further opportunities to develop international cooperation. We see enormous potential and already know that this trip will bring concrete results!
