Alhamdulillah! A Great Achievement!

We are proud to share that Fatima, daughter of Ahmed Hussain, from Government Polytechnic Institute (GPI/GVTTC) Skardu, has secured 1st Position in the Civil Technology Examination conducted by the Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE), Lahore.

She received a Cash Prize and Appreciation Certificate from the Principal and staff of GPI Skardu, on behalf of PBTE Lahore, in recognition of her outstanding achievement.

Visit to 17.5 MW Sadpara Hydropower Project

As part of the Capacity Building Training for Management Peronnel CoE Skardu, the staff of Government Polytechnic Institute (CoE) Skardu, along with the GIZ team, visited the 17.5 MW Sadpara Hydropower Project.

During the visit, the Project Director/Resident Engineer, WAPDA Skardu, Mr. Sajjad Hussain and Assistant Executive Engineer, Mr. Zeeshan Muzaffar, warmly welcomed the visiting team.

Engr. Zeeshan Muzaffar gave a detailed and informative briefing on the purpose, objectives and significance of the Sadpara Dam and Hydropower Project. He explained the project's important role in meeting the water requirements of Skardu City, supporting the irrigation system, and contributing to the electricity needs of the area. He also provided valuable insights into operation and functioning of the power house and the overall hydropower generation process.

The visit was highly informative and provided the technical staff with valuable practical knowledge about hydropower generation, water resource management, power house operations, and project management. Such exposure is particularly beneficial for enhancing the professional knowledge and management capacity of the institute's staff.

The officials and staff of Government Polytechnic Institute (CoE) Skardu sincerely appreciate and extend their heartfelt thanks to Project Director/Resident Engineer Mr. Sajjad Hussain, SDO Engr. Zeeshan Muzaffar, and the WAPDA team for their warm welcome, valuable briefing, and generous cooperation.

Capacity Building Training for Management Personnel of CoE Skardu

A six-day training session titled “Capacity Building for Management Personnel of CoE Skardu” has successfully been completed at Government Polytechnic Institute (CoE) Skardu, conducted by GIZ.

During the training, Senior Trainer Mr. Hanno Knaup provided valuable insights into different leadership styles, management approaches, teamwork, communication, decision-making, and effective management practices. The sessions were highly interactive and provided participants with practical knowledge and useful tools to enhance their leadership and institutional management skills.

The training proved to be a valuable learning experience for all participants and will contribute to improving professional performance, leadership capabilities, and effective management at the institute.

On behalf of CoE Skardu, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the GIZ team, especially Senior Trainer Mr. Hanno Knaup, Mr. Sajjad, and Mr. Muhammad Bais, as well as all the participants, for their valuable contributions, support, and active participation throughout the training.

📢 Instructions for Selected Candidates
✅ Fee Voucher Collection: Collect your fee voucher from Government Polytechnic Institute (GPI), Thorgu, Skardu.
📅 Classes Commence: 9 July 2026
💳 Last Date for Fee Submission: 15 July 2026

⚠️ Important Instructions:
* Students who fail to attend the first three classes or do not submit the fee by the due date will be removed from the merit list.
* Vacant seats created due to non-compliance will be offered to candidates on the waiting list.
* Students admitted on the basis of their SSC-I result must submit their SSC-II result upon declaration. Failure to pass SSC-II will result in cancellation of admission, and any fee paid will not be refunded.
