کیا خاک لکھوں۔۔۔
کچھ لکھنے کا سوچو،
تو چاروں طرف سے
اژدھے پھنکارتے ہیں،
اوہو۔۔ ہوا بی مینڈکی کو زکام،
چلو میاں اپنا کام کرو،
یہاں لکھنا لکھانا بیکاری ہے،
نکتہ چینی سبھوں کی بیماری ہے،

واہ میاں یہ کون سے قوائد ہیں،
ہم سے پوچھو، ہم اردوِ معلیٰ پہ فائز ہیں،

یہ بھی کوئی خیال ہے،
لگتا ہے شاعری کو زوال ہے۔۔۔

سیکھنا ہے تو ہماری چلمیں بھرو،
