The worthy Secretary Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Madam. Saira Umar concluded a detailed visit to district Sargodha.
Madam Saira Umar inspected the Social Welfare Complex, Sanat Zaar, Panah Gah, Shelter Home, Children’s Homes, and other institutions. The Secretary Social Welfare reviews service delivery at the institutions and the facilities being provided to deserving individuals. She directed officials to accelerate measures aimed at equipping women with skills and empowering them economically. She directed that products made by girls receiving training at Sanat Zaar be effectively showcased and promoted. She directed to officers that women who complete their training be provided with e-commerce and digital accounts and connected with online platforms.
“Skilled women should be given access to markets so that they can become economically independent,” said Madam Saira Umar.
“Social Welfare institutions should improve their services and activities in line with modern requirements instead of following traditional approaches,” said Madam Saira Umar.
The Secretary Social Welfare reviews accommodation, food, cleanliness, and other basic facilities at Panah Gah. She inspects the facilities, security arrangements, and other services being provided to women at the Shelter Home/Women Crisis Center. Madam Saira Umar meets girls at the Modern Children’s Home and distributes gifts among them. She attends a birthday celebration for two children at the Boys’ Children’s Home and cuts a cake with the children. The Secretary Social Welfare inspects the under-construction Protection Center, Old Age Home, and other development projects.
“Construction work on the projects should be completed expeditiously and in accordance with the prescribed standards,” said by Maam Saira Umar.
The Secretary Social Welfare also visited Medical Social Services at Civil Hospital and reviews the social and medical assistance being provided to patients.
