Survey of Pakistan Survey of Pakistan (SoP) is Pakistan’s National Surveying and Mapping Organization.

Survey of Pakistan remained part of Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Science and technology till 1968, when it became an attached department of Ministry of Defence. The basic responsibilities of the department include delineation and demarcation of international borders, carrying out topographic surveying, preparation of National Geographic Data bases and publishing all type of maps of Paki

stan. Owing to recent global developments and to meet the national geographical data demands in the current scenario, SoP with the support of other stake holders is also in the process of taking the initiative for development of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).
