The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board has successfully carried out a major anti-encroachment operation in westridge area to reclaim public spaces. The survey uncovered that several residents had erected permanent structures, including additional rooms, boundary walls, verandas, and other constructions on public pathways in front of their houses. These encroachments had reduced the width of streets, leading to serious difficulties for pedestrians and impeding smooth vehicular movement. Such actions will continue without discrimination, and the writ of the law will be strictly enforced across the entire cantonmement.
