Subject: Request for Reconsideration of “Matric First Division” Condition for Building Inspector Posts case 21-RJ/2026
Respected Sir,
It is respectfully submitted that many candidates who completed their matriculation many years ago received Second Division, which at that time was still considered a reasonable academic result. Over time, these candidates have improved their qualifications and have obtained Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) with First Division, which is a higher and more specialized qualification related to the post.
The requirement of Matriculation with First Division in the advertisement No. 5/2026 may unintentionally disadvantage such candidates who have demonstrated better academic performance in their higher technical qualification (DAE). Since DAE is directly relevant to the duties of a Building Inspector case 21-RJ/2026, candidates with First Division in DAE possess the necessary technical knowledge and skills for the job.
Therefore, it is humbly requested that the Commission kindly reconsider the condition of “Matric First Division” in the advertisement No.5/2026 and allow candidates who have First Division in DAE to be considered eligible, even if their Matriculation division is Second. This will provide a fair opportunity to many deserving and technically qualified candidates.
