Two-Day Workshop on Manual Therapy Techniques Concluded at Hazara University Mansehra.
The Institute of Allied Health Sciences Mansehra, in collaboration with the Directorate of Training, Hazara University, successfully organized a two-day workshop on “Manual Therapy Techniques” under the supervision of renowned physiotherapy expert Dr. Dileep Kumar ( Internationally Certificated Trainer). The workshop aimed to provide practical and hands-on clinical training to students and professionals in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences. Students from different semesters participated in various academic and practical sessions focusing on 'surface anatomy, palpation techniques, mobilization, and manipulation techniques'.
The workshop received an overwhelming response from students and professionals from different institutions, including Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, University of Haripur, Helping Hands Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, Frontier Medical College Abbottabad and Mehmood College of Allied Health Sciences and Women Medical College Abbottabad.
During the concluding session, the Director of the Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Syed Kashif Haleem highlighted that although the organizers initially planned to accommodate around 200 participants, more than 900 registrations were received within a very short period, reflecting the keen interest of students and professionals in practical clinical learning. He also shared that similar activities would be organized on a larger scale in the future to facilitate more participants. The Director Dr. Kashif Haleem further thanked the Vice Chancellor Hazara University Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan for his vision and efforts in launching the Institute of Allied Health Sciences and making this important initiative a reality by bringing allied health programs under one academic umbrella. He also appreciated the dedicated efforts of Director Training Muhammad Sajjad, DD Training Dr. Zeeshan Niaz, Dr. Hasan Ali Khan, Dr. Hamid Hussain and the Society of Physical Therapy* for successfully organizing the workshop.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan highly appreciated the Director of Institute of Allied Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Syed Kashif Haleem, organizers, resource persons, and the remarkable response from students, noting that receiving around 900 registrations within only three to four days reflected the growing interest of youth in professional and skill-based healthcare education. He urged the organizers to arrange similar activities in the future on a broader scale to facilitate a larger number of students and institutions. The Vice Chancellor also thanked Dr. Dileep Kumar for conducting such a valuable academic activity and expressed hope that he would continue visiting Hazara University for similar training sessions and professional workshops in the future.
The workshop concluded with appreciation for the Director Institute of Allied Health Sciences, organizers, faculty members, and participants for making the event successful and academically beneficial.
