Pakistan Social Services Partnership (PSSP) was established by Indus Sustainable Development Foundation (ISDF, www.isdf.pk) in year 2013 as a civil society platform aimed at knowledge sharing and collaboration for promoting sustainable development and advancing social service capabilities through strengthening local political process, promoting volunteerism, lobbying and advocating good governance

practices across Pakistan. The task of PSSP establishment was given and supported by Sustainable Development Centre (SDC), Islamabad in order to meet the overall outcomes in terms of its agenda on MDG targets by ensuring good and sustainable services delivery. PSSP is an affiliated body of Asia Social Services Partnership (ASSP) which is one important pillar of Sustainable Development Services Partnership (SDSP) of Sustainable Development Centre, Islamabad (www.sdc.org.pk). Members of the PSSP recognize that their collaborative efforts have the potential to exceed those of any single institution acting alone. PSSP philosophy entails the need of self-reliance through Self-support-mechanism, success of which rests with strong system based partnership and networking approach.
