Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Shareef has launched an ambitious project to promote Pakistan’s pink salt industry, boost value-added production, create jobs, and expand exports.
The plan includes establishing a 110-acre Pink Salt Mineral Processing Zone near Quaidabad, featuring over 200 industrial units, a Business Facilitation Centre, and a model retail outlet.
The initiative is expected to attract around $150 million in investment and create nearly 10,000 employment opportunities, while focusing on better processing, packaging, branding, and global promotion of “Made in Pakistan” pink salt products.
