How long has it been since the Quaid laid the foundations of this country? How long has it been since we have evaded the British rule? 66 years, you say. But why do we, the people of Saraiki belt, still feel that we are not a part of this nation? They have Punjab for punjabis, Sindh for sindhis, Pakhtunkhua for tha pashtuns and Balochistan for the Balochis, yet nothing in that respect for our peop
le. We are as much a part of this country as any Punjabi is; possess as much vision as any Pathan does, are as capable as any Sindhi is and have as much right to an independent province as any Balochi does. Therefore, I call an end to all the atrocities Punjab has ever done to us and fight and fight for a province of my own, for my people. This dream can only be fullfilled if the strongest of our hands, the hands of our youth, unite and demarcate the province into Upper and Lower Punjab. So JAWANO, arise, arise!! Strike for your lives and liberties. Now is the day and the hour. Let every youth throughout the land do this, and the days of youth are numbered. You cannot be more oppressed than you have been -- you cannot suffer greater cruelties than you already have.
