🏑 Hockey Equipment Distribution Ceremony – Mansehra

A Hockey Equipment Distribution Ceremony was held today in Mansehra with the aim of promoting hockey and providing better sporting opportunities and facilities to young and talented players across the district.

The ceremony was graced by Honourable Additional Secretary, Inter-Provincial Coordination, Mr. Zaka Ullah Khatak, as the Chief Guest, while Honourable Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, Mr. Khalid Iqbal Khatak, attended as the Guest of Honour.

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Shafqat Ullah, Chief Coach, Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; District Sports Officer Mansehra; District Education Officer Mansehra; Principal, Government Higher Secondary School No. 01 Mansehra; Principals of various Government High and Higher Secondary Schools of District Mansehra; Olympians; representatives of the Pakistan Hockey Association; representatives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association, and a large number of sports lovers and hockey enthusiasts.

As part of the initiative, complete hockey kits along with kit bags were distributed among 24 Government Schools of District Mansehra, besides providing equipment to players and supporting sports authorities.

The participants and hockey community highly appreciated the efforts of the Government of Pakistan and Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) for providing hockey equipment and supporting the promotion and development of hockey at the grassroots level.

The initiative is expected to encourage young players, strengthen hockey activities in educational institutions, and help identify and nurture talented hockey players from District Mansehra.

ٹھاکرہ اسٹیڈیم مانسہرہ کی اپ گریڈیشن: 999.57 ملین روپے کے میگا اسپورٹس پروجیکٹ کا سنگِ بنیاد رکھ دیا گیا

ضلع مانسہرہ میں کھیلوں کی جدید سہولیات کی فراہمی اور نوجوانوں کی سرپرستی کے سلسلے میں ایک اہم پیش رفت کے طور پر ٹھاکرہ اسٹیڈیم کی اپ گریڈیشن کے منصوبے کا سنگِ بنیاد رکھ دیا گیا ہے۔ ٹھاکرہ اسٹیڈیم مانسہرہ کی اپ گریڈیشن منصوبے کی گراؤنڈ بریکنگ تقریب بروز منگل ٢٥ اگست ٢٠٢٦ پروقار انداز میں منعقد ہوئی، جس میں ضلع بھر کی سیاسی و سماجی شخصیات، اسپورٹس ایسوسی ایشنز کے نمائندگان، شائقین کھیل اور دیگر متعلقہ اداروں کے نمائندگان سمیت معزز شخصیات نے شرکت کی۔

تقریب کے مہمانِ خصوصی جناب کمال سلیم سواتی، فوکل پرسن اسپیکر صوبائی اسمبلی خیبر پختونخوا جناب بابر سلیم سواتی تھے۔ اس موقع پر جناب عبدالشکور لغمانی، انجینئر تنویر اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ورکس اینڈ امپلیمنٹیشن سمیت دیگر معزز مہمانان اور متعلقہ حکام بھی موجود تھے۔

اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے مہمانِ خصوصی جناب کمال سلیم سواتی نے کہا کہ جناب اسپیکر صوبائی اسمبلی خیبر پختونخوا جناب بابر سلیم سواتی کی خصوصی توجہ اور وژن کے تحت مانسہرہ شہر، گردونواح اور ضلع بھر میں کھیلوں کے لیے جدید اور معیاری سہولیات کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے عملی اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ ٹھاکرہ اسٹیڈیم کی اپ گریڈیشن اسی سلسلے کی ایک اہم کڑی ہے، جس سے کھلاڑیوں اور نوجوانوں کو بہتر اور جدید کھیلوں کی سہولیات میسر آئیں گی۔

999.57 ملین روپے کی لاگت سے مکمل ہونے والے اس اہم منصوبے کے تحت ٹھاکرہ اسٹیڈیم کے موجودہ انفراسٹرکچر کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کیا جائے گا، جس سے ضلع مانسہرہ میں کھیلوں کے فروغ، کھلاڑیوں کی حوصلہ افزائی اور نوجوانوں کے لیے بہتر مواقع پیدا ہوں گے۔

ضلع سپورٹس آفس مانسہرہ اس اہم منصوبے کے آغاز پر حکومت خیبر پختونخوا، محکمہ کھیل خیبر پختونخوا، ضلعی انتظامیہ مانسہرہ، ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ورکس اینڈ امپلیمنٹیشن، متعلقہ انجینئرنگ ٹیم اور تمام معاون اداروں کا تہہ دل سے شکریہ ادا کرتا ہے۔

یہ منصوبہ ضلع مانسہرہ میں کھیلوں کے روشن مستقبل، نوجوانوں کی صلاحیتوں کو اجاگر کرنے اور جدید کھیلوں کے بنیادی ڈھانچے کی فراہمی کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ہے۔

Hon’ble Director Sports (MA), Mr. Umar Arshad Khan, visited Thakra Stadium Mansehra on 21st August 2026 in connection with the upgradation of Thakra Stadium.

During the visit, he inspected the existing structures and reviewed the site conditions. He issued necessary instructions regarding the site clearance process and ex*****on of the upgradation project, emphasizing the need to ensure a smooth, efficient, and timely commencement of the development works.

Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir Walk Held at Thakra Stadium Mansehra

To mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir on 5th August, a solidarity walk was organized at Thakra Stadium, Mansehra.

The walk was attended by the Deputy Director Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Regional Sports Officer Abbottabad, the District Sports Officer Mansehra, departmental staff, athletes, and members of the general public.

The participants expressed their unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and reaffirmed their support for the Kashmiri people's right to peace, dignity, and self-determination. The event concluded with prayers for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
