Successful Completion of Practical Training for Sub-Registrars (UT)
The Office of the Settlement Officer, District Malakand, is pleased to share the successful completion of a one-month practical attachment from 07 July 2026 to 07 August 2026 by Mr. Syed Muhammad Afsar Shahi and Mr. Zohaib, Sub-Registrars (Under Training), as part of their professional training programme under the Directorate of Land Records & Estate, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During their attachment, the trainee officers received comprehensive practical exposure to the Settlement Operations being carried out in District Malakand. Their training covered all major stages of the settlement process, including:
✅ Public Awareness and Tak-Bast (Boundary Identification)
✅ Preparation and Verification of Shajra-e-Nasab
✅ Preparation of Tehrir Khatoni
✅ Cadastral Survey and Field Measurement (Paimaish)
✅ Preparation of Field Books and Massavies
✅ Kaam Takmeel (Record Comparison and Rectification)
✅ Tasdeeq Akhir (Final Verification)
✅ Preparation of Misal-e-Haqiyat (Record of Rights)
✅ Integration of GIS Technology with Revenue Records
The trainees also visited field locations to observe the ongoing settlement work across Tehsils Dargai, Batkhela and Baizai, where the Settlement Operation covers 112 Mouzas, 11 Circles, and approximately 958 square kilometres. They gained firsthand experience of modern land administration practices, cadastral surveys, and preparation of accurate revenue records.
The Office appreciates the enthusiasm, discipline, and keen interest shown by both trainee officers throughout the attachment. It is hoped that the practical knowledge acquired during this training will contribute to strengthening the Registration and Revenue system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Settlement Officer extends his best wishes to both officers for a successful and distinguished career in public service and reaffirms the commitment of the Settlement Organization to support capacity building and professional development within the Revenue Department.
