Defence was never limited to the battlefield on land. In our Defence Day campaign, Untold Heroes of 1965, Pakistan Youth Parliament remembers the pilots and sailors who stood against the challenges of war from above and beyond the shore.

From the skies over Sargodha and Halwara to the waters of the Arabian Sea, their courage, leadership, and dedication became an important part of Pakistanโ€™s story in 1965. We remember Squadron Leader Muhammad Mahmood Alam, Squadron Leader Sarfaraz Ahmed Rafiqui Shaheed, Squadron Leader Sayed Sajjad Haider, Commodore Sheikh Mohammad Anwar, and Commander Karamat Rahman Niazi for their service and sacrifice.

The campaign was conceptualized and researched by the Pakistan Youth Parliament Digital Media Team, with design and ex*****on led by the Digital Media Interns, Pakistan Youth Parliament.

On 2 September 2026, the official delegation of the Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP) Islamabad Cabinet, led by President Adnan Bashir, visited the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) to gain deeper insights into workplace protection, legal rights, and institutional mechanisms for addressing harassment.

The delegation was warmly received by Assistant Registrar Waqar A. Malik and Deputy Registrar Aneesa Zeb, followed by an introductory networking session that set the stage for meaningful institutional dialogue.

During a comprehensive briefing, FOSPAH officials provided the delegation with valuable insights into the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, its 2022 amendments, and the role, powers, and operational framework of FOSPAH as a quasi-judicial institution.

The session also explored how complaints are processed and adjudicated, along with important discussions surrounding legal awareness, digital harassment, access to justice, public outreach, and protection mechanisms.

An engaging Q&A session allowed PYP members to discuss case processing, enforcement challenges, and ways to improve awareness among young people and working professionals.

PYP also presented proposals for collaborative Model United Nations (MUNs), nationwide awareness campaigns, and digital initiatives focused on human rights, anti-harassment legislation, and legal literacy.

The discussion opened avenues for future collaboration, with FOSPAH expressing support for youth-led outreach initiatives and offering opportunities for PYP volunteers to contribute to awareness programmes across educational institutions.
