Punjab Reaffirms Commitment to Pakistan-China Friendship at 75th Anniversary Commemoration
Chief Minister Punjab Dedicates Pakistan-China Friendship Gallery at New Lahore Museum Building
Senior Minister Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb addressed a distinguished gathering at the 75th anniversary commemoration of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, describing the Pakistan-China relationship as a timeless symbol of trust, solidarity and shared destiny.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Lahore Museum, the Senior Minister said Pakistan and China are “iron brothers, strategic partners and trusted friends in every season,” adding that the bilateral relationship has continued to grow stronger across changing global realities.
The Senior Minister also highlighted the historic contribution of Nawaz Sharif in initiating the transformational phase of Pakistan-China economic cooperation through CPEC, while appreciating Shehbaz Sharif for carrying forward the partnership into new sectors including industry, agriculture, technology and green development.
Referring to Punjab’s development agenda under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Marriyum Aurangzeb said the province is pursuing economic modernisation, urban transformation, agricultural innovation and industrial growth with China as a trusted development partner.
A key highlight of the event was the dedication of the Pakistan-China Friendship Gallery in the new building of the Lahore Museum by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif as a tribute to 75 years of enduring friendship between the two nations.
The exhibition has been opened for citizens and visitors, offering a unique glimpse into the shared history, cultural heritage and enduring partnership between Pakistan and China.
The Senior Minister noted that the Lahore Museum already houses and preserves invaluable relics of the ancient Silk Route and the Gandhara civilisation, reflecting centuries of cultural exchange and historic connectivity between the peoples of Pakistan and China. She said the newly dedicated gallery in the new Lahore Museum building would further strengthen cultural understanding, heritage preservation and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment to peace, development and the enduring Pakistan-China friendship.
