Accountant General Punjab continues to advance citizen-centric digital service delivery by facilitating pensioners through PAKiD-based Proof of Life Certificate (POLC) verification, introduced in collaboration with NADRA and the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Government of Pakistan.

In just four days (21–24 August 2026), 1,278 pensioners across Punjab have successfully completed their Proof of Life verification through PAKiD — eliminating the need for conventional physical verification and making the process more accessible and convenient for pensioners.

This encouraging response reflects AG Punjab’s commitment to leveraging technology for easier, faster and more pensioner-friendly public services.

Pensioners are encouraged to avail this digital facility and complete their Proof of Life verification conveniently through PAKiD.

In accordance with the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and keeping in view the convenience of pensioners, a Proof of Life Certificate (POLC) facility for pensioners in Punjab was formally launched at the Office of the Accountant General Punjab in collaboration with the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Accountant General Punjab Ali Abbas and attended by Deputy Accountant General Aqsa Lodhi, officials from the Finance Department Punjab & SAP consultants.

In this regard, a separate desk for Proof of Life Certificates has also been established at the Office of the Accountant General Punjab, where AG Office staff are facilitating pensioners in obtaining their Proof of Life Certificate through PAK ID.

Pensioners can also submit their Proof of Life Certificate online through PAK ID from the comfort of their homes. After submitting the certificate online, pensioners will no longer be required to submit the said certificate separately in any physical form. The Office of the Accountant General Punjab has expressed its appreciation for this facility.

Furthermore, the worthy Accountant General Punjab Namana Gulrukh Fareed has stated that the payment of pensions to pensioners is being ensured on a timely basis. The Office of the Accountant General Punjab and District Accounts Officers are facilitating pensioners, with pension payments being credited directly into their bank accounts.

All pensioners are advised to contact their respective officers for any information or assistance regarding their pensions. This initiative will be formally rolled out across the Punjab Government very soon.

A cake-cutting and flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Office of the Accountant General Punjab on 14 August to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with national zeal and enthusiasm.

The ceremony was led by Accountant General Punjab, Madam Namana Gulrukh Fareed. Special prayers were offered for the progress, prosperity, peace and stability of Pakistan, while the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers were also remembered.

The ceremony was attended by Additional AG Punjab Asma Fayyaz, Additional AG (Admin) Ali Abbas, Deputy Accountant General Aqsa Lodhi, Deputy Accountant General Ali Hasan, Assistant Accountant General (Admin) Ramish Khalil along with other officers and officials.
