Completion of KidsOR Paediatric Operation Theatre – DHQ Hospital Kotli
DHQ Hospital Kotli is proud to announce the successful completion of the KidsOR Paediatric Operation Theatre, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated exclusively to children. The project was led by Dr Tahir Mehmood Lone (UK) and generously supported by donors from the UK community. The theatre has been fully functional since 3 March 2026, providing vital surgical care for children in the region.
A special get-together of donors and supporters was held in the UK to celebrate this milestone. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr Tahir Mehmood Lone, the KidsOR team, Hope Welfare Trust and all donors for their generous support.
We also acknowledge the valuable support of Health Minister Syed Bazil Naqvi, former Health Minister Nisar Ansar Abdali, Secretary Health AJK Brigadier Amir Raza Tipu, DG Health, and finally Dr Lubna Samad (Head of Surgery, IRD), along with all stakeholders and health authorities who contributed to the successful completion of this important project.
ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی میں بچوں کے آپریشن روم (KidsOR) کی تکمیل
ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی میں بچوں کے لیے قائم جدید KidsOR آپریشن روم کی کامیاب تکمیل کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے ہمیں خوشی ہو رہی ہے۔ یہ جدید اور مکمل طور پر لیس سہولت ڈاکٹر طاہر محمود لون (برطانیہ) کی قیادت میں قائم کی گئی اور برطانیہ میں مقیم کمیونٹی کے مخیر حضرات کی فراخدلانہ معاونت سے ممکن ہوئی۔ یہ آپریشن روم 3 مارچ 2026 سے مکمل طور پر فعال ہے اور خطے کے بچوں کو ضروری جراحی سہولیات فراہم کر رہا ہے۔
اس اہم سنگِ میل کے موقع پر برطانیہ میں مخیر حضرات اور معاونین کے اعزاز میں ایک خصوصی تقریب بھی منعقد کی گئی۔ ہم ڈاکٹر طاہر محمود لون، KidsOR ٹیم اور تمام عطیہ دہندگان کے بے حد مشکور ہیں جن کی بدولت یہ منصوبہ پایۂ تکمیل تک پہنچا۔
ہم وزیر صحت سید باذل نقوی، سابق وزیر صحت نثار انصر ابدالی، سیکرٹری صحت آزاد کشمیر بریگیڈیئر عامر رضا ٹیپو، ڈی جی ہیلتھ اور آخر میں ڈاکٹر لبنیٰ سماد (ہیڈ آف سرجری، IRD) کے تعاون کو بھی خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہیں، جن کی مشترکہ کاوشوں سے یہ اہم منصوبہ کامیابی سے مکمل ہوا۔

Chairman KORT Chaudhary Muhammad Akhtar visited the under-development Burn Center at DHQ Hospital Kotli along with Medical Superintendent Muhammad Nasrullah Khan.
The construction of the Burn Center is progressing well and it is expected to be completed and made functional soon. This will be the first Burn Center in Kotli and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and will serve as a major healthcare facility for people across Azad Kashmir.
چیئرمین KORT چوہدری محمد اختر نے ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی میں زیرِ تعمیر برن سینٹر کا دورہ کیا، اس موقع پر میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ محمد نصراللہ خان بھی ان کے ہمراہ تھے۔
برن سینٹر کی تعمیر کا کام تیزی سے جاری ہے اور یہ جلد مکمل ہو کر فعال ہو جائے گا۔ یہ آزاد جموں و کشمیر اور کوٹلی کا پہلا برن سینٹر ہوگا، جو خصوصاً آزاد کشمیر بھر کے عوام کے لیے ایک اہم اور تاریخی طبی سہولت ثابت ہوگا۔

Health Minister Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi Visits DHQ Hospital Kotli

The Minister for Health & Population Welfare, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, paid an official visit to DHQ Hospital Kotli and inspected various departments of the hospital.He was accompanied by Chaudhary Akhlaq, Minister for Revenue, and Malik Zafar, Minister for Higher Education.

During the visit, the Digital X-Ray Radiography (DXR) and Ultrasound Facility, Radiology Department, DHQ Hospital Kotli, was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of the Honorable Minister . The Minister also inaugurated the Gynae Emergency Block, aimed at improving emergency maternal healthcare services.

He further reviewed the progress of the under-construction Burn Center and CT Scan Department and was briefed about hospital performance, patient load, and future requirements by the Medical Superintendent.
The Honorable Minister appreciated the efforts of the hospital administration and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing quality and timely healthcare facilities to the public.

At the conclusion of the visit, a souvenir was presented to the Honorable Minister by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Muhammad Nasrullah Sadiq, as a token of appreciation.

وزیر صحت سید بازل علی نقوی کا ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی کا دورہ

وزیر صحت و بہبود آبادی آزاد کشمیر سید بازل علی نقوی نے ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی کا دورہ کیا اور مختلف شعبہ جات کا معائنہ کیا۔اس موقع پر وزیر مال چودھری اخلاق اور وزیر اعلیٰ تعلیم ملک ظفر بھی ان کے ہمراہ تھے۔ انہوں نے نئے ڈیجیٹل ایکس رے (DR سسٹم) اور الٹراساؤنڈ مشین کے ساتھ ساتھ گائنی ایمرجنسی بلاک کا افتتاح کیا، جس سے مریضوں کو بروقت تشخیص اور بہتر ایمرجنسی طبی سہولیات میسر آئیں گی۔
وزیر صحت نے زیرِ تعمیر برن سنٹر اور سی ٹی اسکین ڈیپارٹمنٹ کا بھی جائزہ لیا۔ میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ ڈاکٹر محمد نصراللہ صادق نے ہسپتال کی کارکردگی، مریضوں کی تعداد اور مستقبل کی ضروریات پر وزیر صحت کو بریفنگ دی۔
وزیر صحت نے ہسپتال انتظامیہ کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے عوام کو معیاری اور بروقت طبی سہولیات فراہم کرنے کے حکومتی عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔
دورے کے اختتام پر میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ کی جانب سے وزیر صحت کو یادگاری سووینئر پیش کیا گیا۔

*OPERATION THEATER DHQ HOSPITAL KOTLI * Alhumdulillah 38 operations done in morning shift only including gynaecological ,Surgical,peadiatric,Eye surgeries..This figure is not less than any tertiary care teaching hospitals in the region or of any big city...Despite limited resources dhq kotli has already stepped into managing tertiary care level Surgical workload and facilitating people of kotli and neighbour districts also !!! InshAllah with teamwork and support of people of kotli it willbe a model tertiary care center*آپریشن تھیٹر ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی *الحمد للہ، صرف صبح کی شفٹ میں 38 سرجریز مکمل ہوئیں جن میں خواتین، جراحی، اطفال اور آنکھوں کی سرجری شامل ہیں۔ یہ تعداد کسی بھی علاقائی تربیتی ہسپتال یا بڑے شہر کے ہسپتالوں سے کم نہیں ہے۔ محدود وسائل کے باوجود، ڈی ایچ کیو کوٹلی پہلے ہی سرجری کا بوجھ سنبھالنے اور کوٹلی اور قریبی اضلاع کے لوگوں کی خدمت کرنے میں کامیاب ہو چکا ہے!!! کوٹلی ایک مثالی کیئر سینٹر بنے گا!!!

صدر پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی آزاد کشمیر چوہدری محمد یٰسین کا 29 دسمبر کو ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کوٹلی کا دورہ، مریضوں کی عیادت، طبی عملے کی خدمات کو سراہا
صدر پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی آزاد کشمیر چوہدری محمد یٰسین نے 29 دسمبر کو ڈسٹرکٹ ہیڈ کوارٹر (ڈی ایچ کیو) ہسپتال کوٹلی کا دورہ کیا، جہاں انہوں نے مختلف وارڈز میں زیرِ علاج مریضوں کی عیادت کی اور ان کے مسائل توجہ سے سنے۔
دورے کے دوران چوہدری محمد یٰسین نے ہسپتال کے مختلف شعبہ جات کا معائنہ کیا اور دستیاب طبی سہولیات کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔ انہوں نے مریضوں سے براہِ راست گفتگو کرتے ہوئے علاج معالجے، ادویات کی دستیابی اور دیگر سہولیات کے بارے میں رائے بھی لی۔
اس موقع پر انہوں نے ڈاکٹرز، نرسز اور پیرامیڈیکل اسٹاف کی محنت، پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیتوں اور خلوص کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ محدود وسائل اور مشکل حالات کے باوجود طبی عملہ جس لگن اور دیانت داری سے عوام کی خدمت انجام دے رہا ہے، وہ قابلِ ستائش ہے۔۔
انہوں نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی صحت کے شعبے کو ہمیشہ ترجیح دیتی رہے گی اور عوامی مسائل کے حل کے لیے ہر فورم پر بھرپور اور مؤثر آواز بلند کی جاتی رہے گی۔

These initiatives carried out under the patronage of the Chairman of KORT are not only a beacon of hope for deserving patients, burn victims, and the underprivileged, but also a great service to the people of Azad Kashmir.
