Thalay Valley is in Ghanche, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan, on the bank of Shyok River, The Shyok River meets Indus river at Keris about 30 kilometers west of Thalay. Haltagari, Yarkhur, Daltir, Chondo, Burdas etc. The Houshey Valley in the east, Karis Valley in the west, Shegir Valley in the north and Daghoni/Balgar are located in south site. Thalay Valley exists 40 km. away on the northwest to the

district headquarters Ghanche (Gilgit Baltistan), and 110 km from Skardu city and situated slightly above than (2647 m) from sea level and falls in the single cropping zone. The main source of income is agricultural. Population household 1246, total population 12460. Education ratio male 20% & female only 5%. Thalay Valley has full of natural resources like pasture, water, wildlife and mineral etc. Thalay valley is distributed in two parts, upper Thalay and lower Thalay. Thalay valley is very beautiful in Baltistan especially Thalay Brooq most beautiful tourist resort in Baltistan. Every year many national and international tourists come to Thalay Brooq, Thalay La 4572 m and Shingkang pass 5100 m, most interesting for tourists. The unknown fort Chogho Khar, Marsong Khar, Caanggi Khar are located here; unfortunately, it is not actual history.

حضرت جنید بغدادی فرماتے ہیں

کہ تصوف کی بنیاد آٹھ حصوں پر ھے -

1-سخاوت، 2-رضا، 3- صبر، 4-اشاره، 5-غربت، 6-گدڑی، 7-سیاحت، 8-فقر

یہ آٹھ خصلتیں آٹھ نبیوں کی ہیں

1-سخاوت
حضرت ابراہیم علیہ سلام سے کیونکہ آپ نے فرزند کو قربان کیا

2-رضا
حضرت اسماعیل علیہ سلام سے کیونکہ بوقت ذبح اپنی رضا دی اور اپنی جان عزیز کو بارگاه خداوندی میں پیش کیا

3-صبر
حضرت ایوب علیہ سلام سے کہ آپ نے بے حد غایت مصائب پر صبر فرمایا اور خدا کی فرستاده ابتلا و آزمائش پر ثابت قدم رہے

4-اشاره
حضرت زکریا علیہ سلام سے کہ حق تعالیٰ نے فرمایا " آپ نے تین دن اشارے کے سوا لوگوں سے کلام نہ کیا " اور اسی سلسلے میں ارشاد ہے کہ - انھوں نے اپنے رب کو آہستہ پکارا

5-غربت
حضرت یحییٰ علیہ سلام سے کہ وہ اپنے وطن میں مسافروں کی طرح رھے اور خاندان میں رہتے ہوئے اپنوں سے بیگانہ رھے

6-گدڑی
یعنی صوف کا لباس حضرت موسیٰ علیہ سلام سے کہ انھوں نے پشمینے کپڑے پہنے

7-سیاحت
حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ سلام سے آپ نے یکہ وہ تنہا مجرد زندگی گزاری اور بجز ایک پیالہ اور ایک کنگھی کے کچھ پاس نہ رکھا ۔ جب انھوں نے کسی کو دونوں ہاتھوں کو ملا کر پانی پیتے دیکھا تو پیالہ توڑ دیا اور جب کسی کو انگلیوں سے بالوں میں کنگھی کرتے دیکھا تو کنگھی بھی توڑ دی

8-فقر
سید عالم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے کہ جنھیں روئے زمین کے تمام خزانوں کی کنجیاں عنایت فرما دی گئیں تھیں اور ارشاد ہوا کہ آپ خود کو مشقت میں مت ڈالیں بلکہ آپ ان خزانوں کو استعمال کریں اور آرائش اختیار کریں لیکن بار گاہ الہی میں
آپ نے عرض کیا اے خدا مجھے اس کی حاجتنہیں ھے - میری خواہش تو یہ ھے کہ ایک روز شکم سیر ہوں تو دو روز فاقہ کروں
