Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) welcomed the team of “Aik Din Geo Ke Sath” for a recording at the zone.

Recognized as Best Global Free Zone 2025 (fDi – Financial Times, UK), KSEZ is emerging as a strong industrial hub. Several industries are operational, while many projects are near completion and under construction.

The zone is contributing to regional development, generating employment, and strengthening academia–industry linkages through internships, trainings, and workshops.

KSEZ participated in the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), held on 14–15 February 2026 at IBA Public School Ground, Sukkur

Upon formal invitation, KSEZ established its official stall at the exhibition, which featured 100 trade and business stalls showcasing Sindh’s export potential in agriculture, agro-based products, engineering goods, processed foods, and handicrafts

During the event, the KSEZ team engaged with investors and
industry stakeholders, presenting:

• Investment opportunities in KSEZ
• SEZ incentives and policy benefits
• Industrial infrastructure and ready-to-invest facilities
• Export-oriented potential

The vision of Sindh Economic Zones Management Company (SEZMC) was also highlighted, including key projects: Dhabeji SEZ (DSEZ), Marble City, Sukkur Industrial Enclave, Hyderabad Industrial Enclave, and the Aquaculture Project.

The exhibition also featured the National Exporters Training Program (NETP) Sukkur, Agricultural Seminar, and Virtual B2B sessions with foreign missions.

KSEZ remains focused on sustainable industrial expansion in alignment with SEZMC’s development framework.

In alignment with the initiative of the Government of Sindh – Science & Information Technology Department, Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) successfully organized an AI Awareness Training Session under Indus AI Week 2026.

Recognized as Best Global Zone 2025 by Financial Times (fDi), UK, KSEZ continues to promote knowledge-driven engagement and digital readiness within its institutional framework.

The training was facilitated by 𝗔𝗴𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗵𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻, IT & Coordination Officer (SEZMC), MPhil in Computer Science, a technology professional with over 15 years of experience in Computer Science–related technologies, who delivered a structured and practical session tailored to daily office needs.

The session emphasized AI as a support tool for improving productivity, communication, and efficiency, helping employees transition from hard work to smart work.

Success Story | BioMazdar Pakistan at Khairpur SEZ

BioMazdar Pakistan is a modern agro-processing industry operating at Khairpur Special Economic Zone. Mr. Rashid Mahmood, Director Operations, shares how the company processes fruits and vegetables into dehydrated products, extracts, essential oils, and oleoresins—a first-of-its-kind facility in Pakistan.

With an investment of around PKR 2 billion, BioMazdar Pakistan is reducing imports, supporting exports, and creating 400–500 direct and indirect jobs through the use of local resources and talent.

KSEZ Partners with SIHAT to Promote Practical Learning and Skill Development.

On 8 December 2025, Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ), under the Sindh Economic Zones Management Company (SEZMC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sindh Institute of Health & Technology (SIHAT) at the KSEZ Conference Room.

The agreement aims to create opportunities for students to gain practical experience, including internships, industrial exposure, and applied research.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Fareed Ahmed Shaikh, Chief Technical Officer, KSEZ (SEZMC), and Mr. Farhan Ali Abro, CEO, SIHAT.

This collaboration underscores Khairpur Special Economic Zone’s (KSEZ) commitment to youth empowerment, skill development, and fostering meaningful partnerships between academia and industry in Sindh.

MoU Between Khairpur SEZ and SALU University Strengthens
Industry–Academia Linkages.

Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ), under the Sindh Economic Zones Management Company (SEZMC), continues to support education, research, and skill development across Sindh. Through internships, study visits, training programs, and joint research, KSEZ has remained committed to promoting practical learning and youth development.

On 8 December 2025, a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Khairpur SEZ and Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur Mirs, at the KSEZ Conference Room. The partnership focuses on improving curriculum relevance, advancing applied research, and creating real industry opportunities for students and faculty.

The MoU was formally signed by:

• Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Vice Chancellor, SALU
• Mr. Fareed Ahmed Shaikh, Chief Technical Officer, SEZMC

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk emphasized the importance of strong industry linkages in modern education. He noted that industry experts are being added to SALU’s Boards of Studies to align courses with real-world needs.

He also highlighted the university’s commitment to sustained engagement through expert lectures and collaborative activities. With more than 9,000 students across its campuses, he invited industry partners to attend SALU’s project exhibitions and explore student potential.

Mr. Fareed Ahmed Shaikh, CTO SEZMC, stressed the need to provide students with meaningful opportunities that match global trends. He said: “Our goal is to make youth productive and future-ready, especially in the age of AI. Local graduates should find opportunities within Pakistan. This MoU will help connect academic talent with investors, industries, and emerging technologies.”

The event was attended by the KSEZ/SEZMC Admin team, including:

2. Al-Rahim Agro Processing Pvt. Ltd. – Tomato paste, mango and guava pulp processing
3. Ovais Shamim Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. – Warehousing and cold storage

These visits helped faculty understand industrial processes and identify areas for student research, internships, and final-year projects.
