“THE QURANIC FOUNDATIONS AND STRUCTURE OF MUSLIM SOCIETY” by Dr. Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman Ansari B.A., B. Th., M.A., Ph.D. (1914-1974) was a missionary of the World Federation of Islamic Missions. Being a scholar of Islamic Studies and Comparative Religion, a Professor of Modern Philosophy and possessing very wide knowledge of Islam he was able to enlighten many a soul groping in dark during his round the world tour.
In his book The Quranic Foundations and Structure of Muslim Society he has presented to humanity in general and Muslims in particular, a structure of society based on Islam. Islam continues to throw light on the growth of contemporary thought and provides the ailing humanity path of peace, practice, prosperity and security.
According to Ikram A. Siddiqui, President:
Book I deals with the dynamic personality of the Prophet (pboh) to whom the Quran was revealed—Necessity of Divine Revelation-Quranic Revelation and Islam. The religion, in term of the scope and nature of Quranic guidance along with the concluding remarks.
Book I deals with the duties and obligations of the individuals extensively so as to bring out “full dimensions of Muslim Society.”
In dealing with the subject the author has thrown light on subjects related to Islamic disciplines, e.g. justification for modern code of life-human personality and its function-the status of women in Christianity and in Islam—concept of worship in Islam and other religions—capitalism, marxism, and marxist state, etc. etc.
In short the book is a manifestation of Muslim approach to Tauhid i.e. oneness of God, in theory and practice, in faith and in reason, freedom and determinism, in Church and State, a unity in all aspects of human life.
It is a call to accept the principle of Tauhid not merely as an article of faith but a working principle of life, and to accept Allah as a goal, the Prophet Mohammad (pboh) as the leader and the Quran as the book of guidance.
