China has formally announced that it will expand its support for Iran as U.S.-led coalition airstrikes appear increasingly imminent across the region. This move marks a significant geopolitical shift, signaling the potential transformation of a regional crisis into a broader global confrontation. In a pointed warning, Beijing has urged America’s Arab allies to reconsider deeper involvement in what is rapidly becoming a widening conflict.
The statement comes amid dramatic escalations that have reportedly dismantled key elements of Iran’s leadership structure and disrupted critical global energy corridors. Iranian state television has announced the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, while China and Russia are positioning themselves as strategic and diplomatic counterweights to the U.S.-Israeli military campaign known as “Operation Epic Fury.”
China’s warning coincides with declarations from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates confirming full military alignment with Washington. At the same time, more than 40 U.S. Air Force aircraft are deploying to the region to establish air superiority. Iran, meanwhile, has maintained its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, effectively disrupting nearly 20 percent of the world’s daily oil shipments and intensifying pressure on global markets.
International tensions continue to rise. The United Nations Secretary-General has condemned the strikes, and Vice President Kamala Harris has cautioned that President Trump risks drawing the United States into an unwanted war. In response to the escalating threat environment, the Secret Service has heightened protective measures for the President following retaliatory attacks targeting major landmarks, including the Burj Al-Arab hotel and Dubai International Airport.
