Awareness Session on the ongoing World Immunization Week 2024 in different Union Councils of Jamshed Town District East Karachi.
The Union Councils EPI focal persons motivate and aware the community on importance of Essential Immunization and on upcoming TCV campaign 24.

Dr. Haris Shoaib representing DHMT East talking with Ms. Farkhunda Feroz (CEO Women on Wheels) during the Sehat Mela in Safari park organized by IRD Pakistan regarding the upcoming Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine Campaign, discussing why this campaign is needed. What the disease burden is and the target age group.

Mark your calendars. The campaign starts from 13th till 25th May 2024. The vaccines will be given inside the school premises, all major hospitals and community based temporary sites.

Pros:
1. Available free of cost to the target age group.
2. The teams will visit the schools/madrassahs throughout the district.
3. No side effects, not even minor fever or injection site pain, makes it completely safe even if the child is in the exam routine.

Cons:
It will only be available till 25th May 2024 for age groups over 2 years
