The Managing Director chaired an important meeting with Directors and Departmental In-charges on Friday, 4th September 2026 at the Conference Room, STEVTA Head Office. The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing initiatives, addressing operational challenges, and setting strategic priorities for the future of STEVTA. Key discussions were held on improving technical and vocational training standards, strengthening institutional performance, and ensuring better service delivery across all directorates. The Managing Director emphasized teamwork, accountability, and timely ex*****on of projects to achieve STEVTA’s vision of skilled and empowered youth for Sindh.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for STEVTA & Chairperson STEVTA Junaid Buland paid a surprise visit to STEVTA Headquarters and inspected various departments. He reviewed staff attendance, punctuality and office affairs, expressing serious displeasure over absenteeism, delays and negligence in duties.

He directed the concerned officers to seek explanations from absent employees and those found negligent, and ensure action in accordance with rules.

Junaid Buland categorically stated that all officers and employees must ensure their attendance, strictly observe office timings, and perform their responsibilities with discipline, accountability and professionalism. He made it clear that negligence, carelessness, absenteeism or violation of office timings will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against those found responsible.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for STEVTA & Chairperson STEVTA Junaid Buland, along with senior STEVTA officials, held a meeting with a World Bank delegation.

The meeting focused on future prospects for the TVET sector, exploring how emerging opportunities can be taken forward together, areas of mutual cooperation, and potential projects in the skills and technical education sector.

Both sides expressed their commitment to continued collaboration and working together to further strengthen the TVET sector in Sindh.

The initiative reflects PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision of empowering youth through quality education, skills development, and greater opportunities for employment and a better future.

Inauguration of New Skill Training Trades at Central Prison & Correctional Facility, Larkano

STEVTA inaugurated two new skill training trades at the Central Prison & Correctional Facility, Larkano, as part of its continued efforts to provide inmates with practical and market-oriented skills.

The ceremony was attended by Worthy Managing Director STEVTA, Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh, along with the Director (Operations), STEVTA, and Regional Director STEVTA Larkano. The event was hosted by Mr. Abdul Fatah Kalhoro, SSP, Central Prison & Correctional Facility Larkano.

The initiative focuses on skill development, rehabilitation, capacity building, and improving employment opportunities for inmates, supporting their successful reintegration into society.

During the ceremony, 25 inmates from the previous training batch were awarded certificates upon successful completion of courses in Dress Making and Computer Information Technology (CIT).

STEVTA remains committed to extending technical and vocational training opportunities to vulnerable and marginalized communities and supporting pathways towards productive livelihoods.

Larkana Chamber of Commerce Hosts a Special Event in Honour of Managing Director STEVTA

A special event was hosted by Mr. Khair Muhammad Sheikh, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh and President, Larkana Chamber of Commerce & Industry, at Royal Taj Restaurant, Larkana, in honour of Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh, Managing Director STEVTA.

The event was attended by Mr. Harish Lal, Senior Vice President, Mr. Jamal Mustafa Shaikh, Vice President, members of the Executive Committee, former Presidents, and former Senior Vice Presidents of the Larkana Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The event provided an opportunity to discuss strengthening linkages between STEVTA, business communities, industries, and the private sector, with a focus on enhancing industry-driven technical and vocational training, improving employment opportunities for skilled graduates, and promoting stronger collaboration between training institutions and industry.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh, Managing Director STEVTA, was presented with a commemorative shield as a token of appreciation.

STEVTA Management Visit | 24 August 2026

Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Sheikh, Managing Director, STEVTA, along with Mr. Abdul Hafeez Abbasi, Director (Operations), STEVTA HQ Karachi, and Mr. Mureed Hussain, Regional Director, STEVTA Larkana, visited Government Monotechnic Institute (GMI), meeting with the principal of GPI Shikarpur and the principal of Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto.

As part of the academic oversight, the Managing Director also chaired a meeting with the Regional Directors of Sukkur and Larkana and the Principals of institutions in Sukkur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, and Shikarpur districts. The meeting focused on reviewing academic activities, institutional performance, and other allied matters, with emphasis on effective implementation and improved service delivery.

During the visit, the Managing Director reviewed overall performance and the institute’s academic and training activities, inspected available facilities, and interacted with faculty and staff.

STEVTA remains committed to enhancing the quality of technical and vocational education, strengthening institutional performance, and promoting skills development across Sindh.
