🇵🇰 Independence Day Celebration at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Library, Larkana 🇵🇰

A grand and colourful Independence Day Celebration was organized at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Library, Larkana, with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event was attended by girls readers, who actively participated in various activities and presentations.
The Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Larkano, Mr. Tarique Manzoor Chandio, graced the occasion with his presence, while Mr. Imtiaz Ali Shah, General Manager, Sambara Hotel Larkana, attended as a distinguished guest. Both esteemed guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Shamsuddin Kalhoro, Director, Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Library, Larkana.
The programme featured speeches by girls readers, beautiful tableaus, patriotic presentations and a cake-cutting ceremony, creating a vibrant atmosphere of national pride and celebration. 🇵🇰
As part of the celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Larkano Mr. Tarique Manzoor Chandio participated in the Tree Plantation Activity and planted a sapling at the Library premises, highlighting the importance of a greener and healthier Pakistan. 🌱🇵🇰
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Certificates of Appreciation among the participating girls readers and other participants in recognition of their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the Independence Day programme.

The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great national spirit and enthusiasm at all public libraries across Sindh under the Directorate General of Public Libraries, Sindh.

On this auspicious occasion, public libraries were beautifully decorated and illuminated with colourful lights, creating a festive and patriotic atmosphere. Cake-cutting ceremonies were also held at various libraries to mark the joyous occasion.

The celebrations reflected our shared commitment to patriotism, unity, peace, knowledge, and education, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of our national heroes.

A dignified Independence Day Cake Cutting Ceremony was held at Liaquat Memorial Library to commemorate the Independence Day of Pakistan.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Hidyatuallah Rajar, Director General, Public Libraries Sindh, Culture Department, Government of Sindh, who formally cut the Independence Day cake in the presence of officers, staff, and library members.

Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture, Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, along with Secretary, National Heritage & Culture Division, Mr. Asad Rehman Gilani, Mr. Ayub Jamali, Director General PNCN, and other officials of the Federal Ministry, visited Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi today.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Secretary, Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Department, Government of Sindh, Mr. Khair Muhammad Kalwar, and Director General Public Libraries Sindh, Mr. Hidayatullah Rajar.
During the visit, the delegation toured various sections of the library and appreciated the management for providing quality library services and a conducive learning environment for students and readers.
As a gesture of hospitality and cultural appreciation, the visiting officials were presented with traditional Sindhi Ajrak.

Youm-e-Istehsal Observed at Sindh Government Library, Mirpurkhas

Sindh Government Library, Mirpurkhas, observed Youm-e-Istehsal (Kashmir Day) to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The program was held under the supervision of Mr. Shabir Ahmed Laghari, Director of the Library, with Mr. Jameel Ahmed Qureshi, Deputy Director Secondary Education, Mirpurkhas, as the Chief Guest. He paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people. Participants observed a one-minute silence in memory of the martyrs and offered prayers for lasting peace, justice, and freedom in the region.
