I visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad to convey my deepest condolences following the passing of His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
During the visit, I had the honour of meeting H.E. the Ambassador and expressing, on behalf of the Government and people of Mauritius, our sincere sympathy and solidarity with the Government and people of Iran in this moment of profound grief.

I also signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy, paying tribute to the late leader.
