Sustainable Land Management Programme to Combat Desertification - Phase II The project aims to combat land degradation & desertification in Pakistan

What is the Project About

The project aims to combat land degradation & desertification in Pakistan in order to protect and restore degraded ecosystems and essential ecosystem services that are key to reducing poverty. The Sustainable Land Management Project (SLMP) Phase-I has been designed to implement United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and for combating land degradation

& desertification in Pakistan with the involvement of key stakeholders. This is a multi-sectoral project which requires a long-term strategy in order to ensure that project benefits are sustained.
