Youth Provincial Assembly - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa The YPA-KP is a platform patterned after the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 40 seats from the province.

The Youth Provincial Assembly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (YPA-KP) will focus on engaging with the KP Youth in a healthy discourse and exposing them to democratic process and practices. YPA-KP will approximately have a One-year term and will meet for 16 days over 4 sessions at Peshawar. The Youth Provincial Assembly will have its own two-party system, Youth Chief Minster, Youth Provincial Opposition Leader

, a Youth Provincial Cabinet, a Youth Provincial Shadow Cabinet and Youth Provincial Standing Committees. Members of the Youth Provincial Assembly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, once selected, will be provided with opportunities to interact with the decision-makers of the Province including Provincial Legislators and Elected Executive and Judicial branches of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Members will also undergo a simulated exercise while they will be encouraged to prepare and present policy proposals to the Provincial Cabinet, Provincial Assembly and various Government Ministries on national and provincial issues affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PILDAT releases MNAs’ Scorecard for 2015-2016

With highest score of 70%, Ms. NAEEMA KISHWER of JUI-F becomes MNA OF THE YEAR

Highlights:

=> Ms. Faryal Talpur of PPPP, Mr. Imran Khan of PTI and Mr. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif of PML-N among MNAs appear at the lowest rung with overall score of 20% and 39th position

=> Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan-JIP bags highest percentage (100%) of top performing MNAs among top 15 positions

=> Highest percentage (23%) of MNAs among top 15 position holders belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

=> Overall average score of MNAs is 38% (compared to 41% of Senators)

Average Attendance of individual MNAs in Plenary Sessions of National Assembly stands at 61% (compared to 63% in the Senate)
