​Pakistan’s Journey to Space – Remembering Badr-A
​Pakistan became the first Islamic country and the second in South Asia to put a domestic satellite into orbit!
​On July 16, 1990, SUPARCO launched Badr-A (meaning 'Full Moon' in Arabic) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. It was a massive milestone for our local scientists and engineers, proving our capability in telemetry, tracking, and digital communications from low Earth orbit.
​From Badr-A to our modern Earth Observation (EO) satellite constellations, our journey across the stars continues to evolve.

NASA’s Webb Reveals Black Hole That Formed Before Its Galaxy
Space telescope image showing hundreds of bright objects of different size, color, and shape on the black background of space. Colors range from white to deep red. Shapes include elliptical, spiral, dot-like, dash-like, and arcuate. Many of the large objects near the center of the image are fuzzy white, with bright white cores. Many smaller objects scattered throughout the image are pink to red. Three objects in the central part of the image are called out with small white boxes: A box labeled “C” at about 12 o’clock; one labeled “B” at 3 o’clock; and a box labeled “A” at 4 o’clock. Images of the three objects are enlarged in boxes running vertically along the right. From top to bottom these are labeled QSO1A, QSO1B, and QSO1C. At the center of each box is a tiny, circular red dot. QSO1A (top) is notably larger, brighter, and clearer than the other two. QSO1B, in the middle, is smallest and fuzziest, and is somewhat washed out by the light of a larger white object next to it.

آج کا دن پاکستان کی خودمختاری، قومی وقار اور ناقابلِ تسخیر دفاع کی علامت ہے۔ 28 مئی 1998ء کو میاں محمد نواز شریف کی جراتمندانہ قیادت میں پاکستان نے پانچ کامیاب ایٹمی تجربات کرکے عالمِ اسلام کی پہلی ایٹمی قوت ہونے کا اعزاز حاصل کیا۔ پانچ ارب ڈالر کی پیشکش ٹھکرا کر ایٹمی دھماکہ کرنے والا وہ مردِ آہن میاں محمد نواز شریف تھا، جس نے پاکستان کو عظیم اور ناقابلِ تسخیر بنایا۔

پاکستان کے ایٹمی پروگرام نے دشمن بھارت کے ناپاک عزائم کو چکنا چور کیا اور خطے میں طاقت کا توازن قائم کرکے امن و استحکام کی فضا کو مضبوط بنایا۔

یومِ تکبیر پر ہم میاں محمد نواز شریف کی قیادت، سائنسدانوں، افواجِ پاکستان اور تمام قومی ہیروز کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہیں جنہوں نے وطنِ عزیز کے دفاع کو ناقابلِ تسخیر بنایا۔
