About Buddha Statue: Kargah Budha is a 50-foot tall 5-feet wide statue of Buddha, carved on a mountain at an altitude of around 150 feet from the ground. The sculpture of Buddha is discovered in 1938–39 by archeologists. In this sculpture, the Buddha’s right hand is tucked in his chest, and his left-hand hangs straight. The image shows that Buddha’s message of peace is embodied. It is said that the population was settled above the Buddha site. Over 15 homes can be found near the Buddha site in the mountain.
