Seminar on Dynamics of SLO-based Exam & Career Counseling

Today, on the 22nd day of September 2025, Government Degree College Boi held a seminar on the dynamics of SLO-based exam and Career Counseling. The seminar was attended by faculty and intermediate students.

The resource Person for the seminar was Prof. Rustam, Head Department of English at GPGC Mandian Abbottabad. On his arrival , he was warmly welcomed and then shown around the college campus. Later, a brief orientation was given to him on college's academic and co-curricular activities by Mr. Raja Hamza,Lecture in English.

During the seminar, Prof. Rustam, gifted with the experience of three careers, motivated the students towards constant struggle in their life. Mentioning his humble beginnings, he cited many examples when he had to work against odds to make his way forward. He stressed upon students that a variety of careers awaited for the students in the practical life. Prof. Rustam shared motivational segments from his PAF's and educational careers. He talked about hard work, consistency, dedication and firm belief in Allah's fazal-o-rehmat. He made the audience sense the imaginative aroma of his life experience, his passionate struggle, and his commitment to hard work.

In the second part of the seminar he cursorily touched upon the difference between the traditional and the higher-order-thinking exam called SLO-based exam. He elaborated upon the fact as to how SLO-based Exam could work in the intellectual development of the students. The students were guided on dynamics of SLO-based exam preparation.

At the end of the seminar Prof. Rustam appreciated the faculty for doing the best possible for their students in such a far-flung area.

In his concluding remarks Prof. Dr. Nazakat Hussain Qureshi, the Principal, expressed heartfelt vote of thanks to the resource person for sparing precious moments for boosting the morale of the students with his varied professional experience

A seminar on the importance, preservation, and protection of the ozone layer was organized at the Government Degree College (GDC) Boi, Abbottabad. The event aimed to raise awareness among students and the community about the crucial role of the ozone layer in protecting life on Earth.

Students presented informative charts and presentations, highlighting the significance of the ozone layer, its depletion causes, and consequences. The seminar emphasized the need for collective and individual efforts to preserve this vital shield.

Acting Principal, Muhammad Dildar, delivered the keynote address, stressing the importance of protecting the ozone layer. He urged students to adopt eco-friendly practices and promote awareness about ozone layer preservation.

The seminar served as a platform for students to engage in environmental discussions, fostering a sense of responsibility and encouraging sustainable practices.

کالج ہذا میں سیشن 2024-25 کے لیے انٹرمیڈیٹ سالِ اول و دوم کی نئی کلاسوں کا آغاز ہو چکا ہے۔ پرنسپل گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج بوئی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نزاکت حسین نے پروفیسر محمد فواد کو سیشن 2024-25 کے لیے چیف پراکٹر اور پروفیسر مجیب الرحمٰن کو ڈپٹی چیف پراکٹر کی ذمے داریاں سونپ دی ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں کالج کے چیف پراکٹر نے پرنسپل کے ہمراہ نئی کلاس کا دودہ کیا اور کلاس پراکٹر کی حلف برداری تقریب میں شرکت کی۔چند عکسی تراشے ملاحظہ ہوں۔

یومِ آزادی کی مناسبت سے آج 14 اگست 2024ء کو گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج بوئی ایبٹ میں پروقار تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا،جس میں کالج کے پروفیسرز ،طلبہ اور عمائدینِ علاقہ نے شرکت کی۔مقررین نے اپنی تقریروں کے ذریعے تحریکِ پاکستان،مسلم اکابرین اور سیاسی راہ نماؤں کےکارناموں پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے ان کے جذبۂ حبُّ الوطنی اور حصولِ پاکستان کے لیے کئی گئی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔طلبہ نےملی نغمے پیش کرکے وطن دوستی کا ثبوت دیا۔تقریب کے اختتام پر پرنسپل نے پاکستان کی بقا اور سلامتی کے لیے دعائیں کیں۔اس موقعے پرلی گئی تصویریں ملاحظہ ہیں:-
