The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD), through the Pipelines and Appurtenances Maintenance Department under the Operations Group, maintains a proactive approach in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of its water distribution system.

As part of its continuing efforts, ZCWD conducts service line rehabilitation works in areas where existing pipelines have deteriorated due to corrosion. These rehabilitation activities help improve water service reliability, minimize leaks, and maintain the integrity of the distribution network.

ZCWD remains committed to providing reliable and efficient water service to its customers through the continuous maintenance, rehabilitation, and improvement of its water distribution system.

October 07, 2026 l The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD), in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Health (DOH), successfully conducted the third leg of the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Caravan at Southcom Elementary School.

The Activity brought together 55 students from Grades 4, 5, and 6 to focus on critical practices in water conservation, proper sanitation, and personal hygiene practices as part of efforts to prepare for the potential impacts of Super El Niรฑo.

ZCWD shared practical lessons on responsible water conservation and management, while DOH led an interactive demonstration highlighting proper handwashing and toothbrushing techniques.

ZCWD extends its sincere appreciation to DepEd and DOH for their continued support and collaboration in bringing WASH education closer to schools and communities. Together, we continue to promote healthier schools, responsible water use, and a more sustainable future for all.

The ZCWD Board of Directors and Management remain committed to supporting WASH programs that help young learners understand the importance of proper water use, health, and hygiene, and encourage them to practice these lessons in their everyday lives.
