The Department of Health Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development , through the National HIV, AIDS and STI Prevention and Control Program (NASPCP) conducted a reassessment for the recertification Corazon C. Aquino Hospital ๐‡๐ˆ๐• ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐‡๐ฎ๐›. The facility holds the distinction of being the sole HIV Treatment Hub in Zamboanga Del Norte.

The recertification affirms the facilityโ€™s continued commitment to maintaining quality, accessible, and comprehensive HIV treatment and care services. As part of the regionโ€™s HIV care network, the Treatment Hub continues to contribute to ensuring that People Living with HIV (PLHIV) have access to timely, appropriate, and compassionate care.

This milestone further strengthens the collective efforts toward a responsive and sustainable HIV treatment and care system in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The two-day activity equipped participants from selected pilot sites, including representatives from selected local government units (LGUs) in Zamboanga del Norte and Isabela City, with practical skills in using the FRESAAR web and mobile applications to assess health facility readiness and service availability. The training covered system workflows, user roles, administration, and assessment procedures.

As part of its initial regional rollout, FRESAAR will support the assessment of adolescent-responsive health facilities and services. Moving forward, DOH ZP CHD and its partners will continue to strengthen its implementation through capacity-building, technical assistance, data validation, monitoring, and coordination among health offices and facilities.

Pakinggan ang nakakapukaw-inspirasyon na kwento ng isang Bajau Barangay Health Worker (BHW) na sampung taon nang nagsisilbi sa kanyang komunidad. Higit pa rito, matagumpay niyang napagtapos ang kanyang anak bilang midwife, na ngayon ay nagsisilbi rin bilang Rural Health Midwife sa ilalim ng Rural Health Midwife Placement Program (RHMPP) ng Department of Health.

The activity aimed to review the implementation of HIV program activities, address key updates and concerns, and strengthen coordination to support the delivery of quality and accessible HIV services in the province. As part of the discussions, the ๐—œ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข ๐—ญ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—ก๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฒ was informed of the recertification of ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜‡๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—–. ๐—”๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐—›๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น (๐—–๐—–๐—”๐—›) as a certified HIV Treatment Hub and the sole HIV Treatment Hub in the province. The meeting further strengthened the commitment of the DOH ZP-CHD and IPHO Zamboanga del Norte to coordinated program implementation and responsive HIV services, supporting efforts to ensure that communities receive timely, accessible, and appropriate HIV care.
