6th ZCPO Command Conference: ZCPO Unites for Stronger Police Service and Safer Communities

PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA JR., City Director of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), presided over the 6th ZCPO Command Conference on September 9, 2026, held at the Zamboanga Ecozone, Brgy San Ramon this city. The conference brought together the ZCPO Command Group, staff officers, station commanders, and force commanders to review accomplishments, operational updates, ongoing activities, and issues and concerns from January to August 31, 2026.

During the conference, PCOL FORTALEZA JR emphasized the importance of unity, teamwork, and strong coordination among all offices and units. He stressed that every accomplishment is a product of collective effort and encouraged all personnel to work together, support one another, and remain committed to their shared responsibility of maintaining peace, order, and public safety. He likewise underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration with the local government and other stakeholders in addressing challenges and delivering effective police services.

The conference served as an avenue to assess the overall performance of the ZCPO and identify measures to further improve its operations and services. Through teamwork, partnership, and unwavering commitment to public service, the ZCPO continues to work toward a safer, more peaceful, and secure community.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

Please be informed that the Office of Education and Training, G8 will conduct the Closing Ceremony of the Explosives Demolition and Landmine Warfare (EXDELAMIWA) Training CL 01-26 on September 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at H54E, Philippine Army, Cabatangan, Zamboanga City.

During the closing ceremony, the students will participate in a simulation demonstrating combat engineer capabilities and skills. Minimal use of explosives may be conducted as part of the activity.

The public is advised not to be alarmed by any sounds or activities associated with the exercise. Everyone is encouraged to remain calm and cooperate with authorities.

ZCPO Honors Courageous First Responders of ADZU Shooting Incident

PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA JR., City Director of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), led the awarding ceremony on September 7, 2026, at the ZCPO Headquarters along Don Pablo Lorenzo Street, Zamboanga City, recognizing individuals whose courage, quick response, and decisive actions made a difference during the shooting incident at Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) High School.

A Certificate of Commendation was awarded to the following for their prompt response, courage, and dedication to duty:

ZCPO Joins LGU in First Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony

PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA JR., City Director of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), together with ZCPO personnel, joined the first Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony for the month of September on September 7, 2026, at the Zamboanga City Hall grounds, together with the Local Government Unit (LGU) headed by City Mayor Hon. Khymer Adan T. Olaso. The ceremony highlighted the importance of patriotism, unity, teamwork, and dedication to public service.

ZCPO’s participation reflects its continued support and cooperation with the LGU and other government agencies in maintaining peace and order in the city. The activity also provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination and teamwork among government offices. Through working together, ZCPO and its partners continue to work closely and support towards peaceful, safe, and orderly City.
