Local residents and agricultural producers in Barangay Sinubong, Zamboanga City, now benefit from safer and faster transit of agricultural goods following the completion of a 460-meter Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Zamboanga City 1st District Engineering Office.
With the project successfully completed, the upgraded infrastructure replaces a previously rough, unpaved road with a durable, all-weather concrete surface. More than that, residents and local farmers of Barangay Sinubong can now transport their fresh goods to nearby markets with reduced travel times and minimal vehicle wear, helping them lower transport costs and secure better profit margins for their hard work.
In line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s vision to strengthen connectivity among local community and enhance agricultural productivity, DPWH Region IX continues to prioritize building and upgrading Farm-to-Market Roads to support farmers and drive sustained economic growth across the Zamboanga Peninsula.
