🦷 1306th PAF Dental Dispensary Brings Essential Dental Care to Troops in Remote Areas

📍Pulacan, Pagadian City – November 25-29, 2024

In a dedicated effort to enhance the well-being of Philippine Air Force (PAF) personnel stationed in remote tactical areas, the 1306th PAF Dental Dispensary of the 530th Air Base Group, Air Installation and Base Development Command (AIBDC), conducted a comprehensive dental mission for the Tactical Operations Group 9 (TOG 9).

Led by MAJ OLIVER A GABITO DS, Acting Commanding Officer of 1306th PAF Dental Dispensary, a team of eight dental health professionals provided vital oral health services to 82 individuals, including military personnel, their families and indigent members of adopted IP group. The week-long initiative addressed a critical gap in dental care access for troops stationed in isolated areas, ensuring improved oral health and readiness.

A notable highlight of the mission was the introduction of the PAF iDENTIS and its accompanying mobile application platform for Android devices. This innovative on-line system streamlines dental consultations, appointment scheduling, and record-keeping of PAF personnel, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of dental service delivery.

The operation was made possible through the full support of the Wing Commander of TOWESTMIN, BGEN ROCKY J BINAG PAF; Commander of TOG 9, COL GLENN P EUGENIO PAF (GSC); and Commander of the 530th Air Base Group, COL CHRISTOPHER B PABLO PAF (GSC).

This initiative, a part of the "Lakbay Serbisyo" program of tha PAF Dental Service, underscores the commitment of the 1306th PAF Dental Dispensary to overcoming geographical barriers and reducing oral health disparities within the Philippine Air Force. By leveraging technology and dedication of the dental personnel, the mission has empowered airmen and airwomen in remote locations to better manage their dental health, ultimately enhancing the mission readiness of troops.

The 530th Air Base Group proudly celebrated its 69th Founding Anniversary with the theme, “530thABG@69: Strengthening Capability through Excellent Base Service Support; Accelerating Towards One Philippine Air Force in Mindanao”.

The event was graced by no less than the esteemed Commander of the Air Installation and Base Development Command (AIBDC), MGEN PABLO E RUSTRIA JR PAF, as the Guest of Honor.

During this momentous occasion, two outstanding individuals from the 1306th PAFDD were recognized for their exceptional contributions:

🏅 1LT MIGUEL YLOIV A PALISOC DS, Chief Admin and Personnel Officer was honored as the Best Technical Administrative Service (TAS) Officer of the Year, while on the other hand;

🏅 Dr. Samita C. Martinez CHR was awarded as the Best Civilian Human Resource of the Year.

These prestigious awards, presented by MGEN RUSTRIA PAF, not only highlighted their individual accomplishments but also reflects the ongoing excellence and dedication of these dental personnel within the 530th ABG and the AIBDC as well.

IN PHOTOS 🦷 Last 06 October 2024, the 1306th Philippine Air Force Dental Dispensary, under the 530th Air Base Group, Air Installation and Base Development Command headed by COL CRISTOPHER B PABLO PAF (GSC) participated in the pre-anniversary medical and dental outreach program of the 6th Air Reserve Center (6th ARCen) in celebration of their 29th Founding Anniversary at Barangay Sibulao, Zamboanga City.

The event was spearheaded by LTC ROBERTO V MARA PAF (GSC), Commanding Officer of the 6th ARCen.

The dental team headed by MAJ OLIVER A GABITO DS, Acting Commanding Officer of 1306th PAFDD was able to deliver the much needed dental services to a total of 30 indigent beneficiaries for dental care services.

Making the activity a success was the provision of essential medical and dental health care services to the underprivileged populace of one of the far-flung barangay of Zamboanga City.
