As Catholics, we are called to worship God above all. The Holy Mass is the highest form of worship, because in the Mass, we unite ourselves with Christ and participate in His perfect offering of Himself to the Father. Yet, our worship does not end when we leave the church. It should continue through the way we live and treat others, especially those who are in need.

Jesus teaches us that whenever we help someone who is hungry, poor, lonely, or suffering, we are also serving Him. Helping the needy is therefore an act of worship because it allows us to make Godโ€™s love visible through our actions.

A simple act of kindness like sharing food, giving assistance, listening to someone, or offering our time, can become a meaningful expression of our faith. These acts do not replace the Holy Mass, rather, they flow from it. Having encountered Christ in the Eucharist, we are sent forth to recognize and serve Christ in others.

True Christian worship is therefore both vertical and horizontal, we offer ourselves to God in the Holy Mass, and we express that love by serving our brothers and sisters. When we care for the poor and the suffering, we live out the Gospel and become instruments of Godโ€™s mercy.

May our participation in the Holy Mass transform us into people who not only worship God with our lips, but also love Him through our hands, our hearts, and our service to others. โค๏ธ
