BCMT Information Drive - Their Journey towards Becoming a Reservist Starts Here!
The 905th Community Defense Center, 9RCDG, RESCOM, PA successfully conducted an Information Drive regarding the recruitment process for the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) to the civilian volunteers from Barangay Bolong on May 11, 2026 at Barangay Hall of Bolong, Zamboanga City.
The activity aimed to encourage qualified individuals to serve the nation by becoming part of the reserve force and to provide accurate information regarding the training, qualifications, and benefits of joining the program. It also highlighted the role of citizen soldiers in supporting humanitarian assistance, disaster response operations, and national defense efforts.
During the orientation, participants were briefed on the qualifications and requirements for applicants, the duration and phases of training, and the responsibilities of reservists once they complete the course.
An open forum was conducted to address questions and concerns from the attendees regarding enlistment procedures, training schedules, and opportunities for personal and professional development within the reserve force.
The Information Drive concluded successfully with a positive response from participants, many of whom expressed their interest in joining the upcoming BCMT program. The activity strengthened awareness about the significance of citizen participation in nation-building and community resilience.
