The submission deadline for entries to all categories of the ASEAN Competition 2026 has been extended until September 10, 2026. 12:00 PM

HEIs may still submit their entries on or before September 10, 2026, 12:00PM for the following competition categories:
🎵 Original Song Competition
💃 ASEAN Dance Competition
🎬 Short Film Competition
🎨 Mural/Painting Competition

We encourage all participating HEIs to take advantage of the extended deadline and ensure that their entries are submitted within the prescribed period.

SIKAP Kamustahan: Connecting, Inspiring, and Empowering Our Scholars

CHED Regional Office IX brings together our dedicated SIKAP Scholars through SIKAP Kamustahan, a meaningful gathering that provides an opportunity to connect, listen, share experiences, and strengthen our bond as a community.

The activity was conducted by Mr. Kim Dioven Lusaya, SIKAP Focal Person, who facilitated the engagement with our scholars and encouraged an open exchange of experiences, insights, and aspirations.

Through SIKAP Kamustahan, CHEDRO IX continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting scholars in their academic journey and helping them pursue their dreams through quality and accessible education.

CHEDRO IX Midyear Assessment, Planning, and Team Building Activity 2026

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IX (CHEDRO IX) successfully conducted its Midyear Assessment and Planning and Team Building Activity on August 13–14, 2026, at Villa Bel, Bolong, Zamboanga City.

The two-day activity provided an opportunity for CHEDRO IX officials and employees to assess accomplishments, discuss plans and priorities, and strengthen teamwork and camaraderie toward achieving the Office’s goals for higher education in Region IX.

The activity became even more engaging and enjoyable on Day 2, with officials from Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) serving as facilitators/coordinators for the Team Building activities. Their energy, creativity, and enthusiasm helped make the activities more fun, interactive, and memorable for everyone.

With renewed commitment, stronger teamwork, and shared goals, CHEDRO IX moves forward as one team, united in advancing quality higher education in the region.
