Several aggrieved food handlers trooped to the NLRC RAB IX Office today to seek justice and formally file labor complaints against their employer involving alleged illegal dismissal and claims for separation pay.

In line with its mandate, NLRC RAB IX continues to provide accessible, prompt, and responsive labor justice services by assisting workers in the filing and processing of their complaints while ensuring that all parties are accorded due process and the opportunity for mandatory conciliation.

The NLRC remains steadfast in upholding workers’ rights and promoting fair, just, and peaceful resolution of labor disputes.

Another labor-management concern was successfully resolved through an amicable settlement facilitated under the strengthened partnership between the𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐗 (𝐍𝐋𝐑𝐂 𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐈𝐗) and the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐗 (𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐗).

A Manager successfully recovered his claimed savings fund from his finance corporation employer in the total amount of ₱𝟯𝟯,𝟭𝟰𝟳.𝟬𝟬 through a peaceful and voluntary settlement process.

The conciliation conference was presided over by 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐌. 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨-𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐚, whose guidance and commitment helped the parties arrive at a fair and mutually acceptable settlement.

This successful resolution highlights the continuing commitment of NLRC RAB IX and DOLE Region IX in bringing accessible, efficient, and people-centered labor dispute resolution services closer to the public through the 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐌𝐎𝐀) between the two offices.

Through this partnership, parties from Pagadian City and nearby areas no longer need to travel all the way to Zamboanga City just to avail of NLRC services, thereby reducing transportation expenses, saving valuable time, and making the administration of justice more accessible to workers and employers alike.

The amicable settlement also demonstrates the effectiveness of dialogue, cooperation, and voluntary compliance in resolving labor-related concerns without the need for prolonged litigation.

Special appreciation is extended to Ms. Azerfa Lim, Labor and Employment Officer III (LEO III) of the DOLE Zamboanga del Sur Field Office, for her invaluable assistance and facilitation that helped make the settlement possible.

𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨-𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐚, successfully facilitated an amicable settlement amounting to ₱𝟵,𝟮𝟬𝟴.𝟵𝟰during a mandatory conciliation-mediation conference between an aggrieved picker and his employer in the rubber plantation industry.

Through the guidance of ELA Durano-Dagcuta during the proceedings, both parties were able to engage in productive dialogue and peacefully resolve the labor dispute through mutual agreement, avoiding prolonged litigation and further workplace conflict.

The successful settlement highlights the importance of mandatory conciliation-mediation conferences in encouraging fair, speedy, and accessible resolution of labor cases while preserving harmonious relations between workers and employers.

Another successful conciliation-mediation through the Single Entry Approach (SEnA)!

An aggrieved teacher and a private educational institution successfully reached an amicable settlement amounting to ₱𝟯𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬.𝟬𝟬 during the SEnA stage, avoiding the need for prolonged litigation and allowing both parties to arrive at a mutually acceptable resolution in a faster and more peaceful manner.

The settlement conference was facilitated by 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐂𝐲𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐏. 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐠, whose efforts in guiding both parties toward dialogue and compromise paved the way for the successful resolution of the dispute.

This substantial settlement amount once again highlights the effectiveness of the SEnA program as a speedy, accessible, and practical mechanism in resolving labor disputes. Through sincere dialogue and cooperation, parties are given the opportunity to settle their differences without undergoing lengthy court proceedings.
