𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠: The Coast Guard Nursing Service Sub-Unit RTC Zamboanga (CGNSSU-RTC Zamboanga) conducted a Two (2) day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Thirty (30) Coast Guard RTC Zamboanga personnel from 10 to 11 March 2026. The participants were successfully trained in essential components of Basic Life Support, management of airway obstructions, and immediate response procedures.

The activity aimed to introduce and enhance the knowledge and skills of our Coastguardians in Basic Life Support, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Foreign Body Airway Management. These skills are vitally important, as the PCG is considered a first responder not only in Maritime Search and Rescue but also in all emergency situations and disasters. The CGNS reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the readiness and operational capability of the PCG and continued dedication to its mandate of protecting lives and promoting safety with professionalism and compassion.
