MERCEDES, ZAMBOANGA CITY โ€” Mercedes Fire Sub-Station under the leadership of SFO1 Delora T Gayanilo, Acting Fire Sub-Station commander, promptly responded to a report of an unconscious male along the Bypass Road in Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City.

Upon arrival, the team immediately coordinated with responding police officers and ensured scene safety before conducting an assessment. The patient, a 67-year-old male, was found lying unconscious with no pulse and no signs of breathing. The patient had already been unresponsive since early morning and had a known history of hypertension.

Moments later, the HEMS medical team arrived and, after evaluation, confirmed that the patient had already passed prior to the respondersโ€™ arrival. Custody of the patient was then turned over to HEMS.

Our sincere condolences go out to the family in this time of loss.
