On May 28, 2024, the National Privacy Commission confirmed the Municipal Government of Vintar Ilocos Norte's compliance with the registration requirements established in the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its implementing rules and regulations, and all other related issuances.

In accordance with regulations, the Municipal Treasury Office undertakes measures to safeguard the security and confidentiality of information and sensitive data. This allows the office to protect the privacy and rights of our taxpayers and other stakeholders, as well as prevent identity theft and data breaches.

Furthermore, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 also helps build trust between taxpayers and the office handling their information. When the office is transparent about how we collect, store and use personal data, it helps create a sense of accountability and responsibility. This, in turn, can lead to our taxpayers and stakeholders' loyalty and confidence.

This office believes that the implementation of this act is crucial in ensuring the privacy and security of personal information in the digital age.
