As we launch our program "Read and Get a Prize", we are having this "Give a Gift Box" under our Christmas Tree. You can donate school supplies/items like pencil, pen, coloring materials. story books, dictionaries, pencil case, coloring books, or any other items which could be used by pupils/students in their studies.

So come on, drop by our Municipal Library and give your gifts....Let's share our blessings to our children.

DECEMBER ACTIVITY:
We are launching our program "Read for a Prize".... This a reading activity and a challenge at the same time wherein, pupils who come in the Library to read and accumulate at least 10 hours will get a prize. Each pupil will be given a card with his/her name on it. Everytime he/she visits the library and read, he/she will present his/her card and we will indicate the time he/she starts reading. Before he/she leaves the library, we will again indicate the time he/she finishes reading. We will compute the total minutes/hours he/she will consume in reading. And as soon as he/she complete a minimum of 10 hours, he/she could redeem his/her points for a prize. The higher the points earned, the bigger the corresponding prize. The more he/she visits the library to read, the more the points he/she will earn.

In line with this, we are asking for your generosity to donate any kind of school supplies which will serve as prizes for the said program. We are having this "Give a Gift Box" in our library wherein you could drop your donation of any kind.Thank you and please help us promote our project :) .

As a token of gratitude, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to all the volunteer storytellers who have shared their time and wonderful stories to the day care and kindergarten pupils who joined the series of storytelling and film showing activities of the Villasis Municipal Library in line with the celebration of the Children's Month last October and the Library and Information Service Month last November.

Again, we would like to say THANK YOU to all of you for your support and sharing your time with us especially to our children.

The Global Kalinga E-Rotary Club through the Rotary Club of Urdaneta with its President Mr. Rolly Rafanan, donated books for the Villasis Municipal Library.

I behalf of the LGU, i would like to thank the GK and the Rotary Club of Urdaneta represented by Mr. Rolly Rafanan and Ex. Coun. Emy Mones-Rafanan for giving these books. This is so timely because we will be launching a program next month that will encourage the children to visit the library and read books.

Teacher Ana Esma, in-charged of the Preschool Department of Feliz Academy begins the activity with a prayer. And then followed by singing of Nursery Action Songs which participated by the pupils actively.

Teacher Vladimir Mohammad Meriales shares the story of "Putot"..."Putot" ang asong may maikling buntot. It's actually a story of contentment. Nagrereklamo si Putot dahil naiiba siya lahat ng mga hayop na kanyang nakikita. Si loro, si kabayo, si kalabaw, lahat sila may mahahabang buntot. Isang araw nakasalamuha niya si bulate. Sabi ni bulate sa kanya, "buti ka pa, maiksi lang ang buntot mo, ako wala akong ilong, kamay, paa at puro buntot ako." Doon na napagtanto ni Putot na mas mapalad siya kay bulate dahil may iba't ibang parte siya ng katawan.

Let us be thankful of what God has given us. Do not compare yourself to others because what God has given you made you unique from anyone else.

Teacher Vlady left the storybook for the Library and give something which will be use for our future activities.
