"So, the first 100 days was a little bit of a roller coaster ride.

There are problems nga na encounter and then masolve raman sad gihapon. And lisod kaayo ning first timer pa ta kay we need to ask a lot of things and read a lot of things para naa tay mga nahibaw-an. Dili ta mag-nganga lang sa atong session.

Naa pud tay mapresent na ideas during session," Honorable Veloso answered to one of the questions.

The Local Government Unit of Villaba, in partnership with the Congressional Office and the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Villaba, present the 2024 CONGRESSIONAL AND MAYOR’S BASKETBALL CUP.

Dubbed as the “very first combination of congressional and mayor’s cup,” the event will commence on the 12th of January and will conclude on the 15th. All games will be played inside the Alberto Veloso Memorial Gymnasium.

Hundreds of spectators are expected to flock to the venue as four fiery teams make their way into the court. Participating teams include the JP Colecciones Basketball Academy, OCCCI Sheer Masters Ormoc, the Municipality of Calubian Leyte, and MVE & Kenth of Villaba.

Ticket prices are at PHP50 for the bleachers while others may opt to purchase Courtside Seats at PHP100.

Prizes of the Congressional and Mayor’s Cup are as follows:

CHAMPION — PHP100,000
2ND PLACER — PHP70,000
3RD PLACER — PHP40,000
CONSOLATION PRIZE — PHP10,000
