With deepest sorrow, the LGU Viga family mourns the sudden passing of our dear colleague and friend, Peter Paul "Pipo" Lizaso Rañola.

Pipo was a cornerstone of the Municipal Assessor's Office—always reliable, incredibly hardworking, and driven by a genuine desire to serve our community.

Beyond his dedication to public service, we will forever remember him for his immense kindness, warm heart, and the positive energy he brought into the workplace every single day.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Pipo. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 🕊️🤍

The 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐱 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 under RA 12001 or the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA) 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Today, the Municipality of Viga formally entered into two (2) Memorandum of Agreements with G-Xchange, Inc. (GCash), represented by Ms. Cleo Celeste C. Santos, Vice President and Head of Public Sector, thru Ms. Rosemarie D. Abarquez, Head for South Luzon – Public Sector, and Mr. Bryan A. Marquez, Account Manager – Public Sector.

The MOAs were signed by Hon. Jennifer M. Tuplano, Municipal Mayor, with Municipal Treasurer Rodante C. Yaneza Jr. as witness and implementing officer for the Municipality.

✔ 𝑭𝑼𝑵𝑫 𝑫𝑰𝑺𝑩𝑼𝑹𝑺𝑬𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑪𝑬 (𝑭𝑫𝑺)
Through the issuance of GCash Visa Cards and digital wallet integration, the LGU may facilitate faster and more convenient release of government funds such as: Financial Assistance and Social Support, Incentives and Honorariums, Scholarship Allowances, Employee Benefits and Reimbursements and other lawful government disbursements.

Taxpayers and constituents may now conveniently pay taxes, fees, charges, and other government transactions directly at the Treasury Cashier through GCash QR Code scanning using their own e-wallets — with no need to bring cash during transactions.

This initiative reflects the Municipality’s continuing commitment to modernization, financial inclusion, transparency, and more accessible public service for every Viganon.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗫 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 30-2026, extending the deadline to May 15, 2026 for the filing of 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns, payment of the corresponding taxes due thereon, and submission of required attachments.

“In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., this extension is meant to make tax compliance easier for taxpayers at a time when many are managing added strain from the ongoing energy crisis,” Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza said.

Taxpayers may file through the BIR’s electronic filing platforms and pay electronically through available payment platforms, or manually through the nearest Authorized Agent Banks.
