33rd 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣'𝙨 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: “𝘖𝘚𝘈𝘌𝘊-𝘊𝘚𝘈𝘌𝘔 𝘞𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯: 𝘒𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘢, 𝘐𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯!”

Five participants from the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of Victorias City Farm School attended the Advocacy Forum on 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 as part of the celebration of the 33rd 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 2025 with the theme: “𝘖𝘚𝘈𝘌𝘊-𝘊𝘚𝘈𝘌𝘔 𝘞𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯: 𝘒𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘢, 𝘐𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯!” held last November 21, 2025, Friday, at Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Cultural Center.

The program began with opening remarks from Miss Joy Silab Reunir, RSW, CSWDO, followed by an inspirational message from our City’s Vice Mayor, Honorable Derek Palanca.

The advocacy forum centered on OSAEC-CSAEM or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act (Republic Act No. 11930). This law aims to protect children from online sexual exploitation and penalizes the creation, sharing, and distribution of child sexual abuse materials.

The discussion covered what OSAEC-CSAEM is, why it happens, who is affected, who can report, how to identify cases of child exploitation, how these incidents occur, and what actions we can take. As part of the activity, participants were grouped to brainstorm ideas on how to prevent or reduce these harmful actions.

The attendees included representatives from various elementary and secondary schools in Victorias City, Child Development Workers, Kagawad Committee Chairs on Women, VAWC Desk Officers, CHO Representatives, and BCPC Child Representatives, sharing insights, concerns, and possible solutions for this growing issue.

As part of this year’s Children’s Month celebration, we gained valuable knowledge and awareness from this advocacy forum and may this learning inspire us to continuously protect, advocate, and uphold the rights, safety, and dignity of every child.

Last November 16, 2025, the third Sunday of November, we commemorated the 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙨, 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨— a significant day where we paused to remember lives taken too soon, to honor the strength of those who survived, and stand with families whose hearts carry stories of love and loss.

We joined the nation in this solemn observance by lighting candles along the roadside and offering prayers for all who have been affected by road crashes. We believe that this simple act symbolizes not only remembrance, but also our collective hope for safer roads, more disciplined drivers, and a community that values and protects every life.

Road crashes claim thousands of lives each year. By remembering them, we strengthen our commitment to raising awareness, to promote road safety, and to support efforts that aim to prevent these tragedies from happening again.

May the light of the candles we offered serve as a reminder:

“𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥𝘭𝘺, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦.”

God is never far from you. Just like Jeremiah 29:13 says, we will find Him when we seek Him with all our heart. He is always present— ready for a relationship, ready to listen, ready to guide.

Jeremiah also reminds us that seeking God isn’t just about looking for Him; it’s about giving Him full access to our lives. When we pursue a relationship with Him, He wants to be part of everything— how we think, how we act, even how we feel.

God desires to transform our entire life.

At first, it may feel difficult to let God into our past or the parts of ourselves we’re ashamed of. But God is full of grace and mercy. He wants us to experience freedom from those burdens we carry. Seeking Him with all our heart might feel risky, but we can trust that He knows what’s best and loves us no matter what we’ve done.

Ask God to reveal any part of your life that you haven’t yet surrendered. Pray for courage and strength to give everything to Him. And continue to seek Him— day by day— trusting that He will never stop seeking you too.

ADVISORY. Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 106, Malacañang has announced the suspension of classes at all levels in Region VI and the Negros Island Region, including Victorias City, on November 10 and 11, 2025, due to Super Typhoon Uwan.

The circular states that agencies responsible for basic, vital, and health services, as well as preparedness and response operations, must continue to remain operational.

Meanwhile, other government offices in the affected areas may adopt alternate work arrangements to ensure the continuity of essential functions.

Through Executive Order No. 25-44, I have declared the continued suspension of face-to-face classes in all levels, both public and private, on November 6 and 7, 2025. This will provide the City Government, through the CDRRMO, sufficient time to clear fallen trees, debris, and other hazards left in the aftermath of Typhoon “Tino.”
